Welcome back to another great year of learning and fun. We hope you enjoy our first blog post of the year - we are going to try and do more than 1 per term! Mr Robinson Here are some of the student’s reflections from 2019 and looking ahead to what is on this year! Golf In term 3 Koby, Ruby, Bazza, Charlie, spencer, harry and I. went to the golf at Warracknabeal golf course. When we got there we got our golf clubs and went out for a hit. Jackson ROBOTICS I am excited for robotics because we are doing more. Our first build is called a Tommabot. Harrison Last year we performed little skits for the concert Prep 1,2, 3 did a baby rabbit got stolen by Charlie. Issy, Ryhlee, Koby and Harrison did a gaming show. Spencer, Jackson, Harry, Ruby and Lachlan did a cooking show gone wrong. Charlie This year we have been practising our swimming for the upcoming S.M.L swimming sports. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday we walk over to the pool and practice for about an hour. This Friday we are having our own Beulah Swimming Sports held at the Beulah Swimming Pool. Koby The Bizarre Bazaar On the last Wednesday of term 4 of 2019 we had a Bizarre Bazaar; the community was invited. We had to create a new and unique item Ruby Students from Beulah Primary School will attend a tennis tournament in Horsham. Competing are Harrison, Spencer and Harry. The tournament is on the 26th on a Wednesday, it starts at 9.30 am and ends at 12pm. Spencer & Harrison Welcome back to everyone for what should be a busy but exciting final term! We have already had our Grade 5&6 students off on camp (see above). Other events we are looking forward to are a Cartoonist visiting and our annual Concert. Term 3 Term 3 was absolutely action packed - Athletics took up a big chunk of PE and all of the students represented the school at SML Cluster Athletics. We have been using Twitter posts in our senior classroom as a way of responding to texts (we have a Twitter wall in class).
We were therefore very pumped to see our first Tweet (using Mr Robinson's account) to Matt Cosgrove got a reply - from Matt Cosgrove! We will try to use Twitter more in the future to share our opinion on the texts that we are reading. #bpsreadingtweets Term 3 is already here! The year is going way too fast.
We are looking forward to lots of exciting learning this term. Highlights include: - Science & Book week celebrations - Write a Book in a Day (Grade 4-6) - Beulah and SML Cluster Athletics -School of Rock (Horsham College Performance) Below is an excerpt from Rhylee's Big Write (he was focusing on using simile and metaphor). I think you will agree, he has done a brilliant job!
"It would be paradise… As the giant beast glided into the dark gloomy cave the mountain started rumbling like an old car getting switched on for the first time in 30 years. Soon the beast would be parents with their egg on a pillow like a pile of leaves, but wait what was that ‘crack’ ‘crack’ “BURST” the baby dragon popped out of its shell, its molten lava-like eyes gleaming at its parents And it razor sharp teeth clenching hard with anger, It waddled like a penguin, the Baby Beast its tiny little feet hobbling across the hard cobblestone and rubble…" Well done Rhylee! Term 1 has gone by really fast. I liked doing the chess tournament even though I didn’t win I still had a great day. And miss g for teaching us art, music and p.e. it was good doing the film. I can’t wait until next term.
Spencer Term 1 has gone by fast. B.P.S has done some really exciting things like a chess tournament, swimming sports and the ‘’ Mallee Sky ‘’ book launch. Looking forward for Term 2. Ruby Suddenly, Term 1 has gone by. Students have participated in a lot of cool events, my favourite probably being the Hopetoun 3-6 swimming sports. My highlight would probably be the chess tournament, the soccer nets/goals and the ‘’Mallee Sky’’ book launch. I have enjoyed Term 1, and because what has happened this term I think Term 2 will be GREAT! Rhylee Term 1 has been a brilliant kick-off to 2019. We have participated in many events, all being magnificently enjoyable. My highlight of this jam-packed term was the Chess tournament the 3-6 students took part in. Judging by Term 1, Term 2 is going to be a blast!! Koby WOW!!! Term one is already finished, there have been some big changes. One change is we got a new principal, we do our work a lot differently. We used to just have a workbook for every subject, but now we do activities. I really liked doing the shooting for ‘the dry’, I can’t wait for it to come out so I can see it. We have done a lot of fun excursions, I cannot wait for the next term. Issy Term 1 has gone pretty fast.I loved swimming in regionals. The thing I learnt was playing chess. Doing the filming for ‘the dry’ was a great experience. I can’t wait for running next term. By Harry Term 1 has gone fast. At the start of this year, we did swimming at Hopetoun. My favourite was swimming at Horsham. I loved filming The Dry at Hopetoun it was a good experience. Jackson Term 1 has gone by in a flash! Unsurprisingly, students have participated in many brilliant events. My highlights were the “Mallee Sky” book launch and listening to recounts of students experiences whilst filming “The Dry”. Looking forward to Term 2. Mr R. Welcome back to all staff and students.
It has been a very busy start to the year at Beulah PS. We will be trying out best to keep everyone informed of learning and events during the year through this Blog! Thanks Mr Robinson Welcome to our newly updated school website! We've been down for updates for quite a while now but we're back with a fresh look. The new format also makes it much easier to regularly update information, add newsletters and documents and has this terrific blog section to keep families and the community up to date with what's going on at BPS.
